A new dawn
for LAZT
LOS
ANGELES --- The past seven months was something I have never
experienced in my life. I'm talking about the process of going through
an unpleasant divorce---after 16 years of marriage. But instead of
feeling like it's the end of the world, I now feel like I'm starting life
all over again with a new slate. However, I feel uneasy with the thought
that I will no longer get to see my kids (John IV is 15 and Kristine is
14) as often as I could.
Sometimes in marriage no matter how hard you try to come up with a compromise
with your partner---it is not a guarantee that the marriage will succeed.
No matter how hard you try to make things work out if the other party looks
the other way then nothing positive will come out of it.
In life as in marriage we go through changes as we get older. The same
thing can be said of L.A. Zamboanga Times. Despite the obstacles we have
encoun-
tered over
the years, God---and time---is on our side.
And we'll see to it that in the unlikely event that something like this
will happen again in the future, L.A. Zamboanga Times will continue to
serve and inform our readers---even if it means I may no longer be personally
involved in putting out our online publication.
This is also the reason why designated a group of few dedicated individuals
to assist me in putting out L.A. Zamboanga Times.
They
are: Titong San Juan
(Managing Editor), Bobby Reyes
(Assistant Editor), Gino Españo
(Chief Photographer), Gines
Villa (Advertising Manager) and Marita
Enriquez-Branchflower (President and CEO).
