John and Kristine:
My Only Treasures and Inspiration in Life
LOS ANGELES ---  It was early morning on January 25, 1987 when my son, John IV, was born. After he was brought to the nursery following the delivery I stepped outside the hospital room to the balcony on the 5th floor to get some fresh air.
As I stood there---pondering on the beauty of life as a new father---I saw one of the most spectacular sunrise in my life.
Kristine was born a year later on April 8, 1988.
My wife was in labor for 17 hours and had not eaten anything 10 hours before that. When Kristine was finally delivered, the first thing she did was to suck her thumb. She was so hungry and I was there to capture that fleeting moment on film!
The joy of becoming a parent is incomparable to anything we go through in life as human beings.
Someday soon, they'll go their own ways and have their own families, too. John and Kristine are my only treasures and they have given me tremendous inspiration in life. Without them life would be a different story for me.
